DEALING WITH EMOTIONS WHEN SELLING

Today, I met with a client that really wants to sell his home and since its been on the market for about 4 weeks without an offer, the price was adjusted. His spouse felt the original price was fair and fought tooth and nail but finally it went down by $5K. He would have preferred a $10K reduction. As you can see they are not on the same page. He wanted the property staged, she didn't. He wanted to freshen up the paint, she didn't. But, guess who wants to REALLY, REALLY sell - she does.

So today, my team and I picked up some sprucing up stuff and made the house more welcoming. Decluttered the family room, rehung some pictures, staged the dining area and he took the day off to paint the areas that really needed some attention. With a price reduction, adding some homey touches - we should have an offer within a week or so.

Selling is an emotinal thing and as Realtors, we must be sensitive to our clients needs. Looking for a team that does it all and more www.irenebilinski.com
